In the event of a Canada Post strike, The Excellence Life Insurance Company is issuing the instructions below.

Due to the Canada Post strike, The Excellence Life Insurance Company wishes to assure you that it has planned for the following alternatives to ensure delivery and receipt of regular correspondence.

You may send your correspondence in one of the following ways:

  • Courier services: At your discretion and at your own expense, you may use a courier service.
  • Through an Industrial Alliance agency: Click here to see the list of the various drop-off points from which your mail can be forwarded.

Your correspondence must be sealed in an envelope and addressed as follows:

At the Excellence head office:  You may at any time drop off or pick up correspondence in person at the above address.

                                              To receive your correspondence: 

Cheques for life, disability or accidental death and dismemberment benefits will be sent to you by special courier.

Cheques for health and dental benefits can be picked up at the Excellence head office or at one of the Industrial Alliance drop-off points mentioned above, subject to prior agreement with the Claims Department. To do so, you must contact the Claims Department at 514 327-0020 or 1 800 465-5818 to ensure that your cheque is sent to the right location for pick-up.

Other correspondence will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and may be sent to you in various ways.
